Cubetto is an Montessori inspired coding robot that equip young kids with basic understanding of programming.
Through the intuitive interface of an iPads, kids are introduced to block-based programming to control robots Dash & Dot.
Kids will learn programming hands-on and create their own story or game project by tinkering with hardware writing logic
Kids will learn the technical concepts and fundamental skills to create 2D images using Pixlr, and turn them into 3D objects in Minecraft.
Kids can create their own mobile app and familiarize themselves with AppInventor, a block-based programming platform developed by MIT.
This workshop starts with an introduction of 3D modeling and the interface of TinkerCad; finally it finishes with a complete 3D product which is printed out for kids to take home.
The workshop allows kids to conduct graphical and behavioral design of their unique 3D world through block-based programming, familirises them with programming concepts such as time, speed and conditionals.
The workshop offers a gentle introduction to 3D modeling using Blender, a professional 3D design tool. Students can gain hands-on experience in 3D geometry and create fun 3D objects.
Through an outing at the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park and a coding workshop, students get to explore computer science concepts.
